Our COFFEE
Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony
The traditional process for brewing coffee in Ethiopia begins with washing and roasting the coffee beans by hand. After that, the beans are ground using a hand-made wooden mortar. The amount of coffee used is adjusted according to the people gathered for this ceremony
Next, water is heated in a traditional clay pot called a "jebena," and the ground coffee is added to the pot. The coffee is boiled in the jebena until it reaches the desired level of extraction. Once the boiling is confirmed, the jebena is removed from the heat.Read more
