Therefore, today we will guide you so that you can have basic knowledge of this important language in the Horn of East Africa, which will serve as a tool for communication during your planned activities in Ethiopia, whether it’s for work, tourism, or other purposes. Ethiopia is the oldest country in the world.
Welcome to the “Basic” course! This course has been specially designed for those who want to learn the Amharic language and are not sure where to start, including children, young people who want to begin with the Amharic language, and adults or seniors who want to travel for work, tourism, or personal reasons and need a basic tool for communication. We will learn the basics and structure it as follows:
  1. Learning the pronunciation of the Amharic alphabet, which we have divided into three parts for better learning.
  2. Greetings in Amharic.
  3. Introducing yourself to another person in Amharic.
  4. Asking for directions in Amharic.
  5. Knowing the numbers in Amharic.
  6. Identifying parts of the body in Amharic.
